We must speak for those who cannot speak for themselves–we must fight for the unborn. I have a career-long record of fighting for life in the courts and in the legislature. Unborn life might be nothing more than a matter of politics for some people, but for Alabamians, it is something quite different. It is life and death. One of the biggest victories in my professional career has been drafting and advocating for the Brody Act—a law that makes it possible to prosecute offenders for two crimes if they kill or injure an unborn child during an attack on the unborn child’s mother. I pledge to keep fighting for those who cannot fight for themselves. Life is a blessing and a child’s life should not be taken before it even begins.
