A president may not ignore the U.S. Constitution and usurp the authority of Congress simply because he or she declares a wished-for policy as the law of our land.

Yet, the Biden administration has repeatedly disregarded its duty to enforce our immigration laws, resulting in unimaginable harm to both American citizens and the victims of human traffickers and drug cartel gang members.

Recently, Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas acknowledged that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has lost control of the border, lamenting that the current situation is “unsustainable,” that it “cannot continue,” that the system is getting close to “breaking,” and that “we’re going to lose.”

The time to act is NOW. We don’t have a moment to lose.
